Bicycle Parking Lot/Bicycle Parking System [Case Study] B Ward Office in Tokyo
Ensuring user convenience and safety through the introduction of a paid system for municipalities!
We would like to introduce a case study from the B Ward Office in Tokyo. Before the implementation, there were issues with a free bicycle parking area on the sidewalk, where bicycles were parked in double and triple layers, encroaching on the sidewalk and causing congestion. After the implementation, the area was developed into a paid bicycle parking lot, and to enhance convenience, five PASMO-compatible payment machines were installed. By organizing the bicycles in racks, the sidewalk is now automatically kept clean. [Issues Before Implementation] ■ The free bicycle parking area caused congestion on the sidewalk due to double and triple parking that extended beyond the premises. ■ We received numerous complaints about the difficulty of use, as we could not secure funding for management. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
